Custom & Historic Profiles

Your Profile, Matched and Made in PVC.

Send a drawing, a spec or a piece of the original. We model it, prototype it, cut the die in our own tool room and extrude it in Linden, New Jersey.

Architects & Specifiers

Built to Your Drawing

Your detail calls for a profile no catalog carries. Send the section drawing or spec and we tool it as drawn, in cellular PVC that won't rot or split.

  • Work from DWG, DXF, STEP or PDF section drawings
  • Fit-check prototype before the die is cut
  • American-made in Linden, NJ
Restoration Contractors

Matched to the Original

The old trim is rotted and the profile hasn't been made in decades. Send a cut piece or clear photos and we match it, so the repair disappears into the house and stays put.

  • Historic and discontinued profiles
  • Cut, route and paint like premium millwork
  • No rot, no splitting, no moisture absorption

What to Send

Any One of These Gets Us Started.

A Drawing

A section drawing with overall width, height and key radii. DWG, DXF, STEP or PDF all work.

Photos

Shoot the cut end straight on with a ruler or tape in frame, plus one photo of the trim in place.

A Cut Section

Mail a short piece of the original to Patwin Plastics, 2300 E Linden Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036. Include your name and project.

Also helpful: interior or exterior use, approximate linear footage, paint or finish, and when you need it.

Check the 34 stock profiles first, including our historic sills. Your match may already exist.

Questions

Custom Profiles, Answered.

Can you match a historic or discontinued moulding?

Yes. Send a cut section or clear photos with a ruler in frame. We model the profile, 3D-print a prototype for you to check against the original, then cut the production die in our own tool room.

Can you build a profile an architect has specified?

Yes. Upload the section drawing or spec sheet and we work from it directly. You review a 3D-printed prototype for fit and feasibility before tooling is committed.

Do I need a CAD drawing?

No. A drawing helps, but a physical sample or good photos with a ruler in frame are enough to start.

Can custom PVC mouldings be painted?

Yes. Cellular PVC mouldings cut, route and paint like premium millwork, and they won't rot, split or absorb moisture.

How are pricing, minimums and lead time set?

They depend on the profile's size and complexity and the quantity you need. Send your drawing or sample and we'll come back with a quote for your project.

Where are custom profiles made?

Every custom profile is designed, tooled and extruded by Patwin Plastics in Linden, New Jersey.
