Patwin Plastics warrants every Legacy PVC deck and porch board against splitting, flaking, rotting, or structural defects from manufacturing. Boards will not fade more than 5 Delta E (CIE) units. Stain warranty covers permanent staining from food and beverage when cleaned within one week of exposure.

What is Legacy PVC Decking?
Legacy PVC Decking is American Pro's original cellular PVC deck board. The board is solid-color UV-stabilized PVC with a subtle wood-grain texture, manufactured on the same extrusion line as our flagship TrueGrain Deck. The difference is the surface finish: Legacy PVC carries a classic six-color palette, TrueGrain carries a laminated hardwood-grain surface.
What colors does Legacy PVC Decking come in?
Six classic colors: Driftwood (light grey wood-grain), Khaki (warm tan), Hazelnut (medium warm brown), Beachwood (cool grey grain), Chestnut (rich red-brown), and Redwood (warm reddish-brown).
What profiles are available?
Two profiles. Solid Edge boards are traditional square-edge boards that are top-fastened with screws and color-matched plugs. Grooved boards install with our InvisiClip hidden fastener system, leaving no visible screws on the finished deck surface.
Can Legacy PVC Decking be installed with hidden fasteners?
Yes. Grooved Legacy PVC boards are dimensionally compatible with the InvisiClip system, which is built to the Grad System spec. The same groove geometry is extruded on both Legacy PVC and TrueGrain Deck, so InvisiClip works with either line. Because that groove is a standard geometry, grooved Legacy boards also accept universal side-edge hidden clip systems made for grooved decking, such as CAMO EDGE and WEDGE clips and Starborn Clip & Rip, so installers can use the hidden fastener line they already stock.
Can Legacy PVC Decking be face-fastened with the Starborn Pro Plug system?
Yes. The Starborn Pro Plug System is a matched face-fastening setup for Legacy PVC Decking, ideal for the spots that have to be top-fastened anyway, such as stair treads, the perimeter board against the house, and the last course at a wall. A stepped bit pre-drills and counterbores in one pass, then stainless screws are driven and tapered cellular PVC plugs are tapped in and sanded flush. Because Legacy is solid color all the way through, the color-matched plug blends into the board and ages with the deck instead of standing out. The Pro Plug system is matched to Legacy specifically and is not used on TrueGrain Deck, whose laminated wood-grain surface is meant to stay uninterrupted.
What is the Legacy PVC warranty?
Legacy PVC Decking carries a 25-year limited residential warranty and a 10-year limited commercial warranty. Boards are warranted against splitting, flaking, rotting, and structural manufacturing defects. The board is also designed to resist fading and will not fade more than 5 Delta E (CIE) units after exposure to UV and weathering.
How is Legacy PVC different from TrueGrain Deck?
Both boards share the same cellular PVC core and extrusion line. Legacy PVC is solid-color UV-stabilized PVC with a subtle wood-grain texture in a classic six-color palette. TrueGrain adds a laminated hardwood-grain capstock finish for a more realistic wood look. Choose Legacy for a clean classic finish and TrueGrain for a premium hardwood appearance.
Is Legacy PVC Decking made in the USA?
Yes. Legacy PVC Decking is extruded by Patwin Plastics at its vertically integrated facility in Linden, New Jersey, on the same line as TrueGrain Deck.
